Looking for a TIMOTHY WAYNE THOMAS (birth name),
D.O.B 27/08/1970,
Born; The Grange, Edgbaston, Birmingham,
Adopted from; Meadowcroft mother & baby hostel, Pope Lane, Preston, Lancashire.
You were placed with your adoptive parents in April 1971 aged 8 months old. Your biological mother actually met you adoptive mother, who informed her that if the adoption went ahead they were changing your name to MARK WAYNE ???, and that your adoptive father was a teacher.
However, when your mother signed the form in April 71 she was told she had 6 months before the adoption was legalised thus giving her time to change her mind, which she did do, by the August 71 she had met & married my father, they both went to the social services the day after your 1st birthday to get you back, but were told they were too late, even though it had only been 4 months ??
They wouldn't give her an actual adoption date, so she has no idea when it went through as she was never informed, nor any copies of the adoption forms they said she signed, but DIDN'T sign ??
A letter was then written and asked to be left on your documents for you, explaining that she loved you very much, she was sorry, she tried to get you back, and that hopefully one day you'd forgive her and make contact.
Whether that letter was recieved we don't know, but we do know you opened your files in 1995.
My details are going on the adoption contact register in the next few weeks and I hope your on there.
If you do not wish contact with your birth family, we'll understand, but your mum would like to know that your happy and well.
