UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POSTED MESSAGE IN 1999.
I am Lesley McConnell, currently living in London, UK. Still searching for my sister KIM who was adopted in 1963 at the Catholic Children's Rescue Society in Didsbury, Manchester.

KIM? OR OTHER FEMALE .....BORN JUNE (8th?) 1963..........
Named KIM at birth, born at home at 6 Queen Street West, Withington, Manchester, UK to FLORENCE P. (Cloake or Southworth). Within approx. 6 weeks of birth you were adopted through the Catholic Children's Rescue Society on Parrswood Road, Manchester. All other details are sketchy at best and the C.C.R.S. is not forthcoming with any information for us.
Our mother believes you may have tried to contact her when you were about 14 years old, coming to the door at 62 Ashdale Drive, Withington on the guise of asking a question--she said that you introduced yourself as Kim and seemed a little nervous when she answered the door. Possibly our mother's lack of recognition prevented you from pursuing any further contact? Maybe it wasn't you. Mum still worries that it was, and that she didn't know or act on her gut feeling.
You are loved by two older brothers, three younger sisters, and our mother, all of us living in the USA since 1979. Please, please help us heal the wounds of adoption and become a family again.
