Seeking on behalf of my cousin Ian Gagan, who is searching for his brother Malcom John Gagan,
Malcom was born on Jan 30th 1936, at 283 Dover oad, Folkestone, in what is believed to have been a private nursing home, run by Miss Emily Anna J.Westcott, SRN Midwife.
Malcom`s mother Minnie Gagan (Nee Murray) had been deserted by her husband Nelson Grant Gagan, and as she already had twin sons Ian & Nelson age 2 years, felt she was unable to cope with another baby, she therefore by previous arrangement, "gave away" baby Malcom who was unofficially "adopted" the name of person concered is unknown.
The mother, Minnie Gagan, revealed that this baby had been "adopted" many many years later, to her twin sons, and she refused to disclose any further details apart from his name & date of birth. His brothers have now been searching for him for a numbers of years now, and because I am researching the family history, I have been asked to help, having just recently (2 years ago) been reunited with my cousins.Due to family tensions of our parents, we had not seen each other since 1939.
If anyone knows any information, no matter how small about Malcom, contact would be appreciated.
I realise of course that Malcom would have most likely been given another name, it is hoped however, that he has been aware that he was "adopted" and may have mentioned this to friends etc.
His twin brothers are desparate to find him (before time runs out!!) so if you know of him or any details connected to him, please please contact me so that I can pass the information to my cousins. Thank you |
