I am trying to research an unmarried mother's home in Liverpool, and would be grateful for any information.
I believe it was called Our Lady's RC Home, was on Holly Road, Fairfield, Liverpool, and was run by nuns.
I was born in the nearby Broadgreen hospital, in 1968, and stayed in the home with my mother for several weeks, before she took me home.
I was supposed to be adopted, but for some reason, the adoption was cancelled, and I stayed with my mother.
My mother stayed there twice - having also stayed there in 1967, when she gave birth to a son, who she gave up for adoption.
If anyone has any information about the place, or any photo's, I would like to hear from you. |
