| Searching for ancestors and/or siblings of JOHN RITCHIE and his wife JANET LUKE. They were married in 1792 at East Kilbride. With their family of 9 children, they emigrated to Perth Ontario Canada in 1815 from Fintry, Stirling County. John born circa 1767, son of John Ritchie. John Jr. known to have one elder brother James. Janet Luke born circa 1772. Old papers mention John Ritchie of Delry Mills, apprenticed in 1784 to Henry Hannah, smith of Lennie Park for the term of 4 years. Hoping to find relatives in Scotland to add branches to my research. |
