I am seeking the descendents of Margaret Street and her brother Charles Flux. She was born Margaret Ann Flux at Pembroke Wales in 1863. Her brother Charles Flux was born in 1861 also at Pembroke Wales. According to the British Census of 1881, Margaret was living and working as a servant in Alverstoke, Hampshire; her brother Charles was in the Royal Navy. In 1883 Margaret married William Brown. They had a son William Charles Brown in 1884 and, I understand, a second son Ernest born about 1885. Margaret also had a daughter Harriet K. Flux prior to her marriage. They parted - he took the children when they were still babes and ended up in Barking, Essex. Margaret remarried to a Mr. Street and had several more children including twin boys. By 1900 she had been widowed. Charles married a widow with children and they also had several children together. Margaret's son William Charles Brown was my grandfather; he was shipped to Canada as a "home child" through the Barnardo organization in 1900. He was unaware that his mother was living or that he had an uncle in the Royal Navy. He was killed in the Great War in 1916. I would love to hear from any descendents of the Flux/Brown/Street families.
