| Looking for: Family of, 1st husband of ,Mrs. Winifred Merritt or Meritt in Ireland, possibly of Mayo, born 1840, had a daughter Agnes Merritt (Meritt) in 1859 or 1860 in Ireland. Widowed before 1870 and married 2nd husband, Thomas Garrity (Geraghty),sailed to Connecticut before 1874, and had 2 more children by 1874 in Rockville, Ct., my grandmother Catherine Garrity. Thomas Garrity's mother sailed to CT to care for the baby Catherine for 5 years then returned to Ireland. either Cork or Mayo |
