Searching for information on, or the descendants of :
James and Elizabeth CAMPBELL of Verona, Wisconsin, USA area 1850-1900
He came to America ca. 1842. They were married in Springdale, Dane Co. WI 1854
Both were born in Perthshire, Scotland and buried in Verona Cemetary
James CAMPBELL (1810-1889) & Elizabeth McGREGOR (1827-1906)
They had 8 children:
Isabella born abt. 1855 and twin her sister
Jessie born abt. 1855
Dorothia (?) born abt. 1857
Margaret born abt. 1859
Archibald born abt. 1861
Catherine (Kate) born abt. 1864
James born abt. 1866
George born abt. 1869
2 other children died in infancy
James and Elizabeth are my GG Grandparents thru Isabella.
Other families of relation and interest are Wilson, Menzie and Morrison from Scotland who settled in the Verona and Janesville, WI area and Chicago, Illinois.
