Hi,
I know this seems like a tall order but I thought I would start here first. Seems like an odd place to start, but I wouldn't know where to start when asking my mum...
Anyway, I'm looking for my dad. I know absolutely nothing about him. He might not even be alive anymore...
My name's Claire Huntington and I was born on the 6th July 1980 in Mexborough hospital, South Yorkshire. I lived with my mum (Wendy Huntington, born 27th December 1957) and my grandparents (Phyllis and Jack Huntington, born in 1929) until I was 18 in a village called Goldthorpe. My mum attended Dearneside comprehensive school then went on to Barnsley Tech to become a typist, she then worked for Barnsley council and eventually went to work for Doncaster Council, which is where she works now. My grandad was the well known milkman in the area, if that helps. I went to university to be come a teacher, which is what my job is now and I've now lived in Essex for 2 yrs.
I don't know what my dad's name is, I don't know a single thing. I know that my birth certificate just has a line struck through the father section, which upset me when I saw it.
My mum has 3 brothers (David, John and Barry) nad 1 sister (Katherine - Kathy).
I'm hoping that someone might reckonise the details that I've added and can possibly help me in my search. Any bit of information that you think might be of help I'd be really pleased to receive. If not then I'll have to think of a way of getting some questions to my mum, which I think is harder than actually putting a message on here....
