| Hello, I am trying to find information on my great grandfather, James Campbell Gibson, who, according to a ship's manifest and a census record, was born in Dundee, Scotland, in 1860. Another record lists him as being born in 1857 in Glasgow. He married Agnes Murray (from Ireland) and moved to the United States. He became a citizen in 1880 and had three children, born in the 1890s. They moved to Panama where he worked on the Canal. From what I have been told, he was married and divorced and had children with his first wife, who may still be in Scotland. This was never discussed much because my great grandmother never knew. I never realized how common his name is, but though I would try! If anyone out there searching has any ideas on how I can find information on him, please contact me: alaska_gearys@hotmail.com.
