| Does anyone have information on a john mann and sophia maiden name timms they moved to cromarty around 1816 he was a shipsmaster and his shipwas the inverness packet a sloop of 117tons. It states in the inverness journal in 1833 that a john mann late commander of the inverness packet is opening the big house by the harbour in cromarty as an inn and taking guests this would have been in the braehead area of cromarty if anyone has info i would appreciate it.Also his sone george mann married elspet urquhart daughter of adam urquhart and isobella munro of cromarty. I have much information and documents on these if anyone is related. I would also love a photograph or pictureof this big house if it isstill there |
