| Data needed for Genealogy family records. Working on the COOMBES/COOMBS family of Moorlinch(Polden Hills Farms), Somerset County, England. My first Coombs is Frank Coombs born 1849 in Moorlinch on the farm....married Frances LAVER in 1869 in Bridgewater; then they took a ship to Canada and eventually owned their own farm in Township of Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada. They had 12 children, my grandmother Ethel was their youngest. Parents of Frank Coombs were William Coombs born abt 1811 in Moorlinch--on the farm...his wife was Ann BEAK/BEAKE. William's parents were James Coombs and Mary both from Moorlinch. These names were found on William's records in England. The parents of James Coombs MIGHT BE James and Elizabeth--aka Betsey...COOMBS. I am having great diffaculty trying to document the two James' as the definate line of William....There aren't many records to document all this unless someone out there has parish records or a family history to help me out. Anyone have suggestions? Please email me. I'm struggling and would love to solve this. Thank you. |
