Laois is Eire.... I have been in contact with my mother but want to know the whereabouts of my natural father... I have tried for many many years without sucess.... His details are as follows John Thomas Davitt - Born approx 1949 Merchant Navy The Story I have been given is that my mother went to USA and was a nanny for her uncles children and met my father there..... on the details I have he is an Irish American.... According to my mother he was a merchant seaman who lived in New York USA and his family were very highly connected with "St Patricks Cathedral" there..... what I am lead to believe is my mother returened to UK and found out she was pregnant with me but his parents were informed.... presuming they still lived in ISA. I have been lead to believe that after leaving the navy he went ontoo become a police officer with the New York police possibly in the Bronx.... I have tried writing to the New York Times, searching trhe internet, emailing St Patricks Cathedral but no one has ever replied..... I no that my father was not named on my bireth certificate.... I just want my father to know that i am alive and well and done okay for myself and that i have a wonderful son.... Please if anyone out there can help me trace him or give me guidence on hw to trace him i'd be eternally grateful.
