| I am trying to find my birth mother Margaret Mackenzie who was aged 23 in 1951, the year when I was born in London. My mother worked at the Shaftesbury Hotel, Monmouth Street, WC2 (now Radisson Mountbatten) for about 6 years, after which she seems to have disappeared from London without trace. If anyone knew Margaret or could offer any lead, however slight, I would be most grateful,as would my family. Margaret has a family ready to welcome her and we have been trying to locate her these past 10 years. She has two granddaughters (twins) who would love to get to know her. We do know that Margaret was born in 1927 and that she lived at the Shaftesbury Hotel where she worked as head housekeeper. Apart from one other address in Palliser Road, W14, that is all the information we have, apart from some letters written to Barnardos. If anyone out there could help, then do please contact me.
