I am searching for any relatives of a gentleman originally named PAUL MARTELL who was born in Scunthorpe in the last quarter of 1963. Paul later moved to Somerset and married a LYNDA DEE PAYNE in Yeovil in 1983. Lynda came from Bournemouth and her mother, EVELYN PAYNE nee CURTIS was still living at the address of 8 Mandale Close as recently as 2001. Paul then changed the family name by deed poll to PRESLEY, renaming himself ELVIS ARON PRESLEY. Tha couple had a son PAUL FREDERICK ELVIS PRESLEY in 1984 and another son ARON ANDREW PRESLEY in 1987. Sadly, Aron suffered cot-death at 3½ months and Paul, who was already in care was subsequently adopted. Paul (father) suffered several episodes of mental breakdown and died in tragic circumstances in Yeovil in 1994. The couple had separated in 1988 and subsequently divorced. Lynda lived for a while at 33 Nepaul Road, Tidworth, near Andover and also at Salisbury Women's Refuge. Lynda appears to have re-married twice, on both ocassions in the South East Hampshire area, in 1990 to ROBIN A GEE and again in 2001 to CHRISTOPHER F ROGERS. Until certainly 2004 the couple were living in Gosport but seem to have moved away. PAUL (the son) is now 21 and is trying to contact any members of his birth family. If anyone knows of the whereabouts or has any news of Lynda or her mother, Evelyn, or of any of the relatives of Paul Martell will they please make contact.
