I was born in Wrexham Maelor Hospital in Wrexham on 1st October 1970 to a woman called Audrey Elizabeth Cheetham at around 6am weighing about 6Lb 13oz. 'Audrey' was in her mid 40's when she has me and I was adopted within 2/3 weeks.
My birth mothers details are as follows (off my birth certificate):
Audrey born: Shoroham on Sea, Sussex. Lived in 6 Field View, Wrexham at the time of my birth.
Her maiden name was: Gibson, surname at marriage was Dryden and I presume she remarried and took the name 'CHEETHAM'.
From the birth certificate is shows there are no details for a birth father.
I presume from the dates, ages etc. Audrey Cheetham would be between 75-85 years old now as I am 35.
I know there is an A.E. Cheetham in the area of Wrexham but is this the right person? There are a lot of 'Cheetham's in North Wales and I am sure somebody knows of her (or did).
If anyone has any details please would you let me know, very curious here.
I was brought up as an only child but I believe I would have older brothers and sisters out there - this is all very exciting. If nothing turns up I won't be disappointed as I have had a loving, well rounded Mum and Dad. Thanks |
