| In 1951 we lived in Tipperary,our Grandad Jackson was a war Hero having fought at Dardanelles,and the Somme,my Mother's Father my other Grandad Fought out in Korea,when he returned traumatised suffering from shell shock and having panic attackes,my Mother being half my fathers age wanted to be there in Dublin for my Grandad, so she took five of us children with her,soon after my Grandad died during one bad Panic attack ,we also lost our mother not long after,Ireland at that time was ruled with an Iron Fist by the Roman Catholic church, A priest came to my grandmothers home with the Police and removed us children straight to the High court where each child was charged,and ordered to be detained in different Industrial Schools?where we were known only by a number ,I was no 124,no birthdays ,and totally seperated from each other in different parts of the country.which has effected all our whole lives apart from the cruelty suffered as a child while being detained by the religous.I can never get back what has so cruely been stolen , my family, Name, Siblings, Country,Roots.but hope to get my siblings back together if possible,and find any Family ,ie Cousins ,ect who may be out there .2006 Is the year I have to make a huge effort to make this happen.I wish everyone A Very Happy New Year, never give up. |
