I am seeking descendants of Alexander Mitchell, ayrshire militia, b.1826 d. 1891, and his wife Mary Barbour b.1836 d.?, both married at Dalmellington in 1858. Both had a large family centred around Ayr ie.

Prior to 1876 the family lived at ST Quivox, then moved to 66 Mill St, Ayr and were there in the 1881 Census. Alexander was a Chelsea Pensioner and my Gt-Gt-Gt- Grandfather on my Mum's side. |
