I have information on the family of Emily Mumford, born c. 1883 in Shalford, Surrey.
I'm told she had an illegitimate child who was given away. Emily was 18 at the time of the 1901 census living with her family in Guildford. She was forced to remain a spinster. I don't know when the baby was born or any details but perhaps there is someone wanting to trace their Mumford birth family.
I have small photos of her and her siblings and their parents, George Mumford and Ann Hillier. I am descended from her brother William's daughter Ada. |
