Need help please with my husband's family tree as I am totally stuck. I had very little information when I started out on this but have managed the following:
Grandfather: Frederick Simmonds b1875 Watford Herts
GGrandfather: Henry Walker Simmonds b1845. Henry was the illigitimate son of Harriet Simmonds b1821 Watford Herts and Andrew Walker. Henry's birth certificate shows residence as Boot Yard, Watford - how do I trace who was living at this address as Harriet and Henry Walker Simmonds do not seem to be on the 1851 census. Is it possible to look at an address on the census without a name? Harriet married someone else later in life and her father is shown as Henry Simmonds. Can someone please help me with him and the name of his wife.

My own family tree has come to a halt. Does anyone have access to Rothbury Parish Records for c1828/1829? My GGGGrandfather, Robert Boak, was born in Rothbury around this time and his marriage certificate shows his father as Robert Boak, occupation farmer. I am beginning to think this is a fabrication as I cannot find him despite numerous searches.
Any help with either of the above families would be very much appreciated - my children are not terribly impressed with my efforts!!!
