I am looking for any information about my 4 x great grandfather Joseph Thorn/Thorne. He was born in 1797 in Devon Axmouth in England and married Mary Gallard on the 25th January 1818.They were married in Leicester. Joseph died in 1883 in Leicester. The 1881 census shows that he was living with Joseph Beacon at that time. I have only tracked down one child to this marriage so far and that is my 5 x great grandfather Joseph.
Being in Australia it is very hard to find out any info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
