sgt barry raf navigator(south african in raf)
sgt williams raf airgunner(welsh)
they where members of the 38 sqdn wellington,
aircraft,piloted by p/o patrick nanton,which failed to return to its base in egypt on 4th nov
1942.p/o nanton is listed on the memorial at the
alemain military cemetery egypt,but as there is no record of these two,so possible they survived
the incident in which the pilot died,probably as
pow's.i am in touch with p/o nanton's brother in
antigua,who seeking info on his brothers fate,as
all the family received was the official
"missing"telegram.
also,as i am a 86 year old handicapped man who cannot travel,i would appreciate any researcher living in the london area,who,for a fee,would search squadron records for me,at RAF records office at Kew.
