Seek info re SHEVLIN/SHOVLIN/SHOVELIN & BRESLIN from Ardara, Co. Donegal. Patrick SHEVLIN m. Agnes BRICE (BRESLIN) from adjacent farm. Their son, my ggf Patrick SHOVLIN/SHOVELIN,shipwright, b Abt.1822, emig Glasgow abt.1841, d. 24 Dec 1864. His siblings unknown. His children: Joseph b IRL Abt 1840; Ann, Helen, Elizabeth, Patrick all b. Glasgow abt. 1842,1844,1847-48, 1849-50. Their step-mother, Sara, w/half-bro, Thomas, b 31 Oct 1858 emig USA Oct 1865. Sara d. 1875 while Thomas(My gf)still a youth. Any info appreciated.
I believe my ggfather's sibling emig to Glasgow or quite likely eatern Pennsylvania, USA where SHEVLIN/SHOVLIN and BRESLIN surnames are common. |
