I am trying to trace a family by the name of Owen, Samuel John Alder Owen born abt 1789 Bristol England married abt 1821 Jane Commer [some doubt as to her surname] Bristol England. They came to Victoria Australia abt 1850. Jane was born Somerset England. Her mothers maiden name could have been Pendlope no surname available.
There were 3 living children:
John born 1822 Bristol married Louisa Royal 1845 at St Andrew Clifton Bristol England died 1894 Geelong Victoria.
James born 1830 Bristol married Sarah Frances Swindley 1868 Collingwood Victoria died unknown.
Selina born 1832 Bristol married William Ball 1857 Raglan Victoria died 1918 South Yarra Victoria.
I am not sure if Samuel John came to Victoria as I have not been able to find his death. The death certificates give varying information regarding the parents.
If anyone has any information regarding the parents of Samuel John Alder Owen and his wife Jane I would appreciate it very much. I am particularly interested in finding out about the parents on both sides of the family.
