I am hoping you can help me find the birth sister of Frank Nicholson. Frank was one of the British Child Migrant children who was sent to Australia in 1949 and he then lost all contact with his family in England.
He is the son of Albert & Kathleen Nicholson and they had 5 children.
The 2 eldest boys were sent to Canada, Frank born 1940 was the middle child, the 2 youngest were adopted.
He is frantically looking for his sister Jean born 27 December 1941, Hazelwood Nursing Home, Torquay, Newton Abbot, Devon
who was adopted by Charles Leonard BROWN (a Cost Clerk) and his wife Velma BROWN of 47 Knoyle Street, NEW CROSS SE14.
The adoption was processed through the Southwark County Council and her name was changed to Jean BROWN
The adoption was registered at the General Office Titchfield, Fareham, Hampshire (Hants.)
The entry no. is 48726: Application No. 7723H (which maybe the number of the copy application in 1976)
jean may be married or perhaps even passed away, so if anyone knows anything of this family please could they contact me - I am her brother and she has a family who love her.
