I am try to find information about the family of my ancestors George and Tabitha (Tobiatha) Jordan who emigrated from Devon, England to New Zealand in 1842 on the sailing ship "Tamandra".
George was a Tanner & Sawyer and would have been born abt 1805 (possibly in Devon, but I can't be sure). Tabitha (nee Leader) was born in 1801 at Dawlish, Devon.
George and Tabitha were married 10th February, 1831 at St. Nectans Church, Ashcombe, Devon. Tabitha had been married previously to John Quantick.
