Greetings fellow "LookUpUKers"! My name is Stephen Bennett, my wife JANET CROOKES BENNETT and I are looking for Jan's birth-mother(and father?). We know very little about her adoption, her adoptive parents, JACK & JENNY CROOKES have never divulged very much information, and out of respect for their feelings, Jan has never really asked them much...What we do know, is that Jan was born on the 19TH of NOVEMBER 1959. Also, we've heard that Jan might have been named SHARON IBBOTSON (Sp?), and that her birth-mother was quite young, perhaps a teenager? And my father in law once told me that he picked up Jan/Sharon from an "Old Mothers Home" in a town called OUGHTIBRIDGE, when she was about 1 week old. I presume it was a home for unwed mothers?
Jan doesn't want to intrude into anyones lives, but if her birth mother & family wants to make a connection, she is more than ready, especially after 46+ years. One more very important note before I go... You have two wonderful grandchildren who would love to meet you... Whitney Jane, she was born May/9/1986, and S. Maxwell, he was born on July/12/1991. We all live in San Marcos,Ca. with three crazy, but beautiful golden retrievers. Life is good and thank you for giving Jan/Sharon life!
