My name is Norma Annie Venables, nee Smiley. I am looking for the daughter I gave up for adoption. She was born on June 19, 1953, at the North Middlesex Hospital, East London. My maiden name at the time was Williamson. My home address was 107 Lyndhurst Road, Woodgreen, N22.
I named her Lyndi Lou Williamson (spelling of the christian name may be slightly different), however she may not have retained this christian name after adoption. Her birth father was Dennis Cousins. Shortly after her birth we stayed at the Hendon Mother & Baby Home. She was adopted out between 6 and 10 weeks after birth.
She was adopted by a couple from Wales. The adoptive father was a Master Baker.
I emigrated to Australia as Norma Smiley with husband Phil in 1971, and have 3 other children, Russell, Jackie and Tracey.
I know that 'Lyndi' tried to locate me many years ago when she knocked on my mother's door at Lyndhurst Road, but nothing further was heard.
I would so love to find my daughter.
