Hello...
Searching for twin girls born Aug 3/1931 in Preston Lancashire, their birth was registered Nov 3/1931, both given up for adoption...quite possibly through the Catholic authorities of that time & also a possibility,that they may have been adopted separately?
Their given names at birth was Margaret & Teresa Rooney...Mother named Mary Rooney (nee Walmsley).
Girls were born at Sharoe Green Maternity Home Fulwood. Births were registered in Preston; Sub District of Broughton; County of Lancaster.
Both Margaret & Teresa would now be 75 years of age, perhaps over the years married, raised families & now G/Parents. Hoping, that both are still alive & perhaps someone out there, may have knowledge (via family/relations re adoption)of Margaret & Teresa. All or any information will be greatly appreciated & treated with utmost respect to those concerned.
