Looking for former members of the Welling Wings cycle speedway team from the late 1940s/early 1950s. In particular, I am seeking:
Bill Forsyth, formerly of Anthony Road, Welling.
Jack Ellis, formerly of Central Avenue, Welling.
Don Baldry, formerly of Wickham Street, Welling.
Roy Welch, formerly of the Plumstead Common area, who joined the South Rhodesian Police Force.
Geoff Stark, formerly of Old Road, Crayford, who emigrated to Australia.
All the above would now be in their late 60s or early 70s. Their former team-mates (Barry West, Colin Thompson, Derek Brown, Roy Harvey, Ralph Ambrose, Fred Pallett and Mike Tottle) are still in touch with each other and enjoyed a reunion lunch a few months ago and would be pleased to hear from you. |
