I was named PETER DOUGLAS BAKER at birth, on 22nd August 1956, and was adopted in march 1957. I am searching for my birth mother - PATRICIA JEAN BAKER, who was born between 1933-34, and lived in Carr Road, Greenford at the time. I have been looking for several years now, and just want her to know that I am well, happy and have 2 wonderful children of my own - both daughters.
If you are reading this, please know that I understand your reasons, and that I hope you have had a wonderful and happy life.
I suppose I am fortunate, in that I have no "hole in my existence" , no sense of being "apart" or "missing my identity" and have no qualms about having been put up for adoption. For me the glass has always been half-full, and I had great parents. However, I have the 2 letters you wrote to my Mum, thanking her for the photograph of me aged one, that I know she bent the rules to send you, and I want you to know they are very precious to me.
