Hi, trying to find out if a relative was ever adopted out in London district in the 1860's 1870's after his mother died. Wondering if anyone knows of any web sites to look these records up. Names concerned were Arnold family and maybe Schneider. Edward Arnold married Elizabeth Ohse and moved to New York as Carl Edward Arnold Schneider where their son was reputed to have becaome a movie star/ actor.
