trying desperately to find my father who i have not seen for 34 years.his name is michael john bailey alias bill?date of birth 4th july 1935.he served in the devon regiment from 1953-1957 as a national serviceman.he re-enlisted to the devon +dorset regiment in 1960+ served with them until 1965 when he became a civilian.his army number was 22847932 + he was a signaller in this regiment.he lived in bristol on leaving the army +worked for the south west electricity board as a jointers mate.he left here in 1967 where he told his best friend that he had transferred his job to the london electricity board + was moving to the wimbledon area.this is the last i heard of him + have come up against a brick wall.i dearly wish that i could find him as it is a huge void in my life to not have known my father.my mother died 12 years ago + told me nothing about him.i learned his name + other details i have of him through my own research+can find no other info about him.not even a birth certificate which seems rather strange.i believe he came from somehere in devon but dont know if this is his birthplace.i also am told that he had a sister who lived in devon 30 odd years ago unfortunately i do not know her name or her age,only that she was married.if anyone can help me in any way at all,with any info past or present no matter how small i will be extremely grateful indeed.as i feel time is running out.please help if you can.
