Does any one know if Walter Butcher is still alive,lived in Whitehaven for a short period, in late 1930, early 1940, Walter then whent back to live in the Doncaster area, after the war he was believed to be a driver for some haulage company.
Walter Butcher was in the 2/4th BN of the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, his service No was Private4536232, he was last known to be stationed in HYTHE on the 2nd of August 1942, I am desperate to find out if he is still allive or if there is any one who may of knew him, time is running out and I have looked forthis man for many many years with out any success, if any one can help it would mean so much to me and my family
