I would like to trace the following mates of mine from the 1940's/50's : Alf Cooper, Sonny Winchester, Alan Bell, Tom Tooley and Teddy Taylor.

We were all mates in 1948 going up to 1951 when we joined the Services.

Alf Cooper worked for Blue Funnel Line in the Albert Dock, North Woolwich. He had two sisters, Pat (the eldest) and Maureen and their father brought them up by himself.

We all used to go to the Youth Club in North Woolwich run by Mr and Mrs Kennedy.

The first four named all lived in Ranelagh Road, East Ham, London E6 and Teddy lived in Hunter Road off Ilford Lane, Ilford, Essex.

In either 1949 or 1950 we went with Mrs and Mrs Kennedy to Youth Club Camp at Pluckley, Kent (I still have a photograph) - they are in the photo as well as one of the girls Pat Jonas who also came from North Woolwich.

There also other girls who used to belong to our group, we all met up every weekend at went to various dances. Their maiden names at the time were : Elsie Venables, Pat Smith and Brenda Smith (who all came from Barking).

If anybody knows of these people I would dearly love to hear from them.

All these people I mentioned would be in their sixties now, like me.

I often wonder what's happened to them all and hope they are all well.

My name is Ronnie Munn and I lived in Linton Road, Barking, alas it is no longer there.

Come on Gang - where are you now?

Many thanks to the people who can help me on this.
