Hoping to learn something of my father WILLIAM CALVERT who was a Sapper in 580 Army Troops Coy., Royal Engineers and died aged 26 years on 29th April 1941 "due to enemy action". He is buried at Phaleron War Cemetery, Greece. I believe he was the son of Walter and Charlotte Elizabeth Calvert of Yorkshire.
He married my mother Marjorie (Molly) Mansell at Church Stretton in Shropshire (my mother's home) in January 1937. His address was given for the event as Victoria House in Church Stretton and his occupation was given as Gas Fitter as was Walter's, his father.
I believe my father had a sister named Nellie who lived at 103 High North Gates, Darlington around the 1950's, with her husband and children who I think were called Peter, Margaret and Ernest.
I would dearly love to find a photograph of my father, can anyone help?
