Whatever happened to all those boys and girls who played rounders together at Barnehurst Golf Course on warm summer evenings in the late 1940s? I remember Pat Sole of Parkside Avenue now married and believed to be living in Leeds, Dorothy Troth of Fairford Avenue, Doreen Smith of Downbank Avenue, and Jean Thurkettle(nee Bryant) of Castleton Avenue now believed to be living at Goring-by-Sea or Hassocks. Fred Pallett would be pleased to hear from any of the old gang after 50 odd years. Sadly, Doris Jarvis (nee Williams) of Parkside Avenue passed away a few years ago.
