I am trying to trace an old Army friend from 1953. I don't remember his first name but he was known as
L/Cpl. Wilson ("Geordie") 8th Hussars
20th Armoured Brigade
York Barracks
Gremmendorf Kaserne
Gremmendorf BAOR 12
He was driver to Brigadier Timmis of 3rd Royal Tank Regiment and I believe he got demobbed in 1954. Believed to have married a Czeck. girl Maria who lived with her parents on the side of the Dortmund Emms Canal which ran outside of Munster Westphalia.
If anybody knows of this man or his wife, who I hope will still be living in the Newcastle area, please get in touch with me as I have memorabilia of that time for him.
