Looking for family(ies)with name of HAILE/HALE and CRUMP in their family tree and have information going back to at least 1620. A George Haile(Hale) sailed on a ship called "SUPPLY" in 1620. Ship sailed out of Bristol for Virginia and arrived safely. We have information back to this point. However, we do not know where in England George was born. He was a teenager, either 13 or 18, when he sailed. No one else on ship with same last name. Best guess is that he must have been either part of crew or employed by someone who sailed on that ship.

The CRUMP connection of about that same time in history would be Thomas Crump.

Here, as in the other branch of the family, we have information going back to this point but nothing prior to his sailing from England.

Another connection I'd like to check out is connection to name of WALKER. Isiah Walker suddenly appeared in Virginia sometime in mid 1700s. No information on who his parents were but information from his "journal" indicates he ws born in Virginia and we have dates, etc. Don't know if his parents born in England, Scotland, Ireland or if they were born in "the Colonies". Best information I can hope for is that someone might have information sent to family back in England about his very large family. He married Elizabeth in 1790/91, a young woman born in Ireland.

We are lucky to have as much information as we have, but would really love to match up some of our information with what someone "across the pond" might have.

I'm married to a man from England and we just returned from a 5 week trip over there on 17 September 2001. If I had had a clue where to look, I'd have tried to do some research while we were there.

Anyway, anyone who can come up with ties to any of these name I'd love to know about it.
