I am looking for any information on Philip Toman born about 1837 in Ireland. He married Mary Ann McEwan in 1854 at Garvaghy, Co Down. According to his wife's death certificate he was a dealer. thier daughter Sarah was born in 1856 in Ireland and they later came to Stranraer in Scotland where they had 6 more children. I have searched in vain at Register House in Scotland, for Philip's death entry and this makes me think that he possibly died in Ireland. He died before the birth of his youngest child in September 1874 - recorded on her birth certificate. I have hit a brick wall here and any information would ge much appreciated
thanks

Looking for Britt of Co Waterford Ireland. My grandmother Mary Britt b 1868, her sisters Johanna b 1869, and Annie b 186?, were born to Patrick Britt and Ellen Gahan in (Portlaw?)Co Waterford. There were other siblings as well. The above three emigrated to Hartford, Connecticut, USA in the 1890's I don't know if Portlaw is a town or parrish, it was noted in Johanna's Obit as place of birth. |

Searching for information on my great-grandfather, Patrick Brady b: early 1800's. He
went by the name of "Big Coat" Brady and was a farmer somewhere in Cavan. He married Rose Brady, same surname. Children: Philip, Thomas,
Anne, Mary and Rose.
I found a Patrick Brady in Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan but cannot confirm if he is my great-grandfather.
Has anyone heard of this family? Any help will
be appreciated. |
