ROBERTSON, GEORGE: Looking for ancestry related to George Robertson. Thought to be the first generation of our family in the United States. Died in 1788, in the Tyaskin area of the now Wicomico County, Maryland. Could have been part of Somerset County, Maryland in 1788. George purchased 193 acres on 24 July 1765. May be the same George Robertson mentioned in the book titled "A Dictionary of Biography, Past and Present", edited by Benjamin Vincent, Hayden Series, London, Ward, Lock & Co., 1877.
