hi I need some help on finding my mum's mother ( my natural grandmother) Her maiden name was Dorothy Ann Gilbert. Dorothy worked at harbour cove Padstow Cornwall. She came to Albert and Olive Symons at 53 Plain An Gwarry Redruth back in 1941 where she gave birth to a daughter( Patrica )Gwenoline on the 17th of november 1941. The date of the adoption was the 5th of december 1941 at the juvinile court for the petty sessional division of east penwith in cornwall
Dorothy worked as a general servant, we believe that the father to the child ( Patrica) was an american gi, and that Dorothy's father was a policeman. When Patrica was 15 years of age a post card was sent from New York from Dorothy to Albert and Olive who then lived at 96 Drump road Redruth Cornwall the year then was 1956.
