MICHAEL IAN SMITH was your given name at birth. You were born on NOVEMBER 4, 1970 in READING, BERKSHIRE. You went to your adoptive parents at Christas time that year. Your final adoption was in May 1971, believed to be through Sevenoaks County Court. Your file records are held at CHILDLINK in London. The adoption was initiated through the Oxford Diocese in Reading. I am your birth mother. Would dearly love to know that I did the right thing in giving you up for someone else to bring up. I hope your life was all that I wished for you when I gave you up. If anyone recognises this scenario with any info - large or small - please contact me. I am registered with NORCAP. Your Grandmother still lives at the address shown on your birth certificate. You have 4 sets of aunts, uncles and cousins all around the south of England (and Wales). Perhaps you are married with children of your own - making me a maternal grandmother!
