TAIT - Jacob Tait who died 18 Feb. 1875 in Crook, Auckland, Co. Durham married Ann Mordue, born 20 Apr. 1804 to Henry Mordue and Barbara Hood in Northumberland Co. First child, James Tait was born on 18 Apr. 1828 in Bambrough Parish, and baptised at the Warenford Presby. Church in Northumberland Co. James Tait (my gggrandfather) married Mary Davison on 24 Nov. 1849 at the Sunderland Parish Church in Co. Durham and they and their eight children emigrated to PA in 1869. Looking for parents of Jacob Tait. In the baptismal record for James it states that Jacob was a native of Coldstream, Scotland.
