Searching for the family of Dorothy Taylor of South Shields.
Dorothy was my great-great grandmother. Her gravestone lists her birthplace as South Shields, November 30, 1841. She and my great great grandfather Bernard Woods had two children, Terrence and Sarah while living in Newcastle on Tyne area. Sarah was born in 1871. Sometime after 1871 they left England and settled in Lonaconing, MD, USA, a coal mining community. They were in Lonaconing by 1876 which is when my grandfather, Patrick was born.
