Hello My name is Du Ann. I am looking for the surname of Omohundro. It may have originated from the name Ormus'hundred. The information I have gathered has lead me to the borough of Walsall (BUT COULD BE ANY WHERE.. IN THE UK ) My great grandfather 11 generation past was to have married a women named Anne Moxley who was the daughter of William Moxley brn 1610 England and one Ann Bush brn 1618 in England. I have been told that there is a pedigree book of Staffordshire Families an Orme Family that maybe helpful to me but don't know how to find the book or get information out of it. The Book is to have mentioned in it that Anne Moxley lost her husband, killed by an arrow in Virginia. There land was to have been confiscated by Oliver Cromwell Because of their loyalty to the crown. In return they were given land grants in Virginia. There is also a rumor of a prince of some nationality that was sent to the valley of Virginia and was sold as a small boy. When he got of age all he new was his name of( Richard Omohundro and that he was of royal blood). Richard Omohundro settled in virginia sometime prior to 1670 so he would have been in the UK I would think sometime around 1650's (maybe!) I have been searching every where. If you have ever heard of this SURNAME or story of this sort. please send me in the right direction. I would appreciate it. ANY AND ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
