MILES DOROTHY
Hello,
my name is Gemma Perano and I live in New Zealand.
I am on an Important mission for Mother.
My Mother (Olive) who is 78 and not very well, is going to Bristol in August"
It is her Lifetime ambition to find out anything at all about her mother and her mothers relatives..and her ..."genealogy"
My Mothers, Mothers Name is Dorothy Miles
The following information is all we have: so far
Dorothy Miles
Place of Birth - Bristol England
we are pretty sure 1892 to 1895
Married at age 29
to a Robert Robinson (Whom apparently was a bigamist) and who was my mothers Father
(We Think They Married in England or Australia??? Then came to New Zealand to(Carterton)???)
Married again at age 34
to a John O'Connor in New Zealand
My Mother (Olive) was born in 1922
in Ashburton - New Zealand
Dorothy Miles died ( Dorothy O'Connor) Age 37 in 1929
Ashton - New Zealand
(We have sent to England for Birth Records for 1893, but to no avail..we now think she may of been born 1895...
There is also a possibility Dorothy may of been adopted if so would there be records of Adoption going back that far..or it may not of been legal..)
there are discrepencies ( of a couple years)
with ages matching upon her death certificate,
re: her death and marriage dates and my mothers birth certificate..date
my mum was only 6 years old when Dorothy Died
and the only information she has had, has been from her step father and his family(John O'Connor)
we have very little money to keep sending to England for searches..
would be so grateful if you could be of any assistance or give any advice on finding relatives info..
