Maureen FRASER - all we know of my grandmother is that she was a domestic servant at a Temperance Hotel in London when she gave birth to my mother, Margaret Jean FRASER in the Sheffield St Hospital, London, in March 1932.
My mother was 17 before she was told that she was fostered by her 'parents', Minnie & James Storey.
She was then told that Maureen was to come back for her but died of TB about 18 months after Margaret was born - have been unable to find a death cert in either England or Scotland. Maureen was supposed to have been a Scot - have been unable to find a birth cert in either England or Scotland.
There is no father listed on my mother's birth certificate. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm more than willing to share the little I have.
