Greetings: My ggrandfather was James Archibald Watson, who was with the 78th Highlanders and married my ggrandmother Christie Ferguson, from Cape Breton Island in Halifax N.S. sometime between 1869 and 1871 when the regiment went to Ireland for two years, then to Fort George Scotland.
My Grandmother Lillian Watson was born in Invergordon, Scotland. Frances Ann was born in Ireland, Margaret in Edinburgh Castle. The rest of the siblings were Christie, Bristo, and Etta (who stayed in England) Archibald, Alexander and Andrew. All emigrated to Canada except for Etta. Any more information will be greatly appreciated.
