I was born and adopted in Scotland in 1968 and need some help in establishing what were the legal duties of the council who handled my adoption at that time. I have been told that there is no apdoption file for me and many others adopted under the jurisdiction of the local authority and believe that this led to negligence at the time of my adoption and throughout my childhood - hoping someone can help?
